Oasis Onboarding Guide: How To Get ROSE On Sapphire

A beginner-friendly guide to onboarding into the Oasis ecosystem.

To use Oasis dApps, it’s necessary to have some ROSE on Sapphire, the ecosystem’s primary network. For anyone new to the Oasis ecosystem, this guide explains how to do this, breaking things down into simple, easy-to-follow steps.

Whether you already have ROSE on a centralized exchange (CEX) or another blockchain or need to start from scratch, you'll find everything you need to get ROSE on Sapphire below.

Requirements

Before starting, ensure you have a wallet like MetaMask, Phantom, or Rabby installed on your device and add the Oasis Sapphire Network.

Here is a simple guide on how to do this using MetaMask as an example.

I have ROSE

I have ROSE on a centralized exchange

The easiest way to move funds from a CEX onto Sapphire is via the ROSE App.

Note - if you’re using MEXC, the ROSE App is unnecessary. You can deposit directly into Sapphire from the exchange.

Step 1. Visit https://rose.oasis.io/#/move

Step 2. Click Connect Wallet (MetaMask, etc)

Step 3. Click select and sign in

Step 4. Copy your EVM address

Step 5. Go to your CEX account, locate your ROSE balance, and click send crypto

Step 6. Input the address copied in step four as the destination

Step 7. Navigate remaining confirmations in the CEX interface and send ROSE

Congratulations, you now have ROSE on Sapphire! Through the ROSE App, you can stake and explore ecosystem apps or withdraw funds to an exchange. Below is a video walk through of this process.

I have ROSE in my ROSE Wallet

The easiest way to move ROSE from the Oasis consensus layer to Sapphire is through the ROSE Wallet itself.

Step 1. Open your ROSE Wallet extension

Step 2. Click ParaTimes from the bottom menu, click Deposit to Paratime

Step 3. Select Sapphire from the options

Step 4. Copy your address from MetaMask or another wallet

Step 5. Designate the amount you want to deposit

Step 6. Paste your address from step four and execute the transaction

Note - This process can be done either through the browser extension or the web version of the ROSE Wallet. If you’re using the web wallet, the flow is roughly the same.

I have ROSE on BNB Chain

The easiest way to move ROSE from BNB Chain to Sapphire is via Celer Bridge.

Step 1. Visit https://cbridge.celer.network/

Step 2. Click connect wallet

Step 3. Select BNB Chain network from the list as origin

Step 4. Select Oasis Sapphire network from the list as destination

Step 5. Select wROSE, indicate how much you want to send, and click transfer

Step 6. Confirm the transaction in your wallet

The funds should arrive on Sapphire within 5 minutes

I don’t have ROSE

I want to buy ROSE through a CEX

One way to get ROSE onto Sapphire is to buy it at an exchange and then transfer it via the ROSE App.

Note - if you’re using MEXC, the ROSE App is unnecessary. You can deposit directly into Sapphire from the exchange.

Step 1. Log in to your CEX of choice

Step 2. Search for ROSE among available assets

Step 3. Choose how much you want to purchase and click confirm [Coinbase as an example below]

Step 4. Once ROSE is credited to your account, transfer funds to Sapphire by using the ROSE App as described above

I want to buy ROSE directly in my ROSE Wallet

One way to acquire ROSE on Sapphire is to purchase it through either the web wallet or extension.

Step 1. Open the extension and click buy from the bottom menu

Step 2. You will be redirected to Transak, select the amount you want to buy, and with which currency you wish to pay

Step 3. Click buy now

Step 4. Go through the KYC flow if not already completed

Step 5. Receive funds and deposit to Sapphire through the process described above in the “I have ROSE in my ROSE Wallet” section

I want to swap crypto for ROSE on Sapphire

Get ROSE on Sapphire by bridging crypto from another chain - the easiest way to do this is to use Nitro.

Step 1. Visit https://app.neby.exchange/bridge

Step 2. Click Connect Wallet. You must do this a 2nd time even if already using Neby.

Step 3. Select the network you want to bridge funds from by clicking in the search field

Step 4. Designate the token you want to send. For example, USDC on Arbitrum → USDC on Sapphire

Step 5. Click Approve and Swap. Confirm the transaction in your wallet

Step 5. Once bridging is complete, navigate to the swap tab on Neby

Step 6. Swap USDC.e → ROSE. You should now have ROSE on Sapphire
